The Faceless Man

He came from nowhere
Without a face, and no one to care.

A long journey in sun and snow,
Unknown places where only imagination can go.

Carrying the burden of the entire humanity,
It isn't easy to maintain one's sanity.

A curse here and a mouthful there ,
Living in a heartless society is tough to bear.

Images of broken laughter lingers on his mind,
Happiness may be something he has left far behind .

The wilderness of the forest was never daunting,
It's the wilderness in a man's soul that is so haunting .

The faceless man always wanted a face,
To smile with joy and talk with grace.

The face for him was a treasure of expression
Even to cry or have a look of desperation .

The boastful smirk or the wry grin
Even the feel of his soft skin.

But he was now glad to be faceless,
Wandering how the man with face has become so baseless.

They say that a human face is the doorway to his soul,
"It's better to be faceless " said he,
Than to have something as a black as coal".
